Keith· William· Hipel was Awarded "Honorary Resident of Jiangsu Province"

The Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government awarded Canadian professor Keith· William·Hipel Honorary Resident of Jiangsu Province, which award no more than 10 foreigners in total each year. international friendly people won the award every year.

Honorary Resident of Jiangsu Province is the highest honor awarded by Jiangsu Province to foreign friends. Foreigners who have won this honor represent the highest level in their respective fields and have been committed to developing friendly relations with Jiangsu Province. 

Keith·William·Hipel is Professor of University of Waterloo, and Honorary Professor of NUAA. He is Former President and Fellow of the Academy of Science within the Royal Society of Canada, Foreign Fellow of National Academy of Engineering and Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He is one of the scholars who visited China since the reform and opening up, and has been visited China for at least 40 times. He has made outstanding contributions to the joint training of postgraduate students, Curriculum Development and joint research of NUAA.
